Cold Clouds

Glaciogenic

Glaciogenic cloud seeding sparks the growth of precipitation-size particles by the introduction of artificial ice nuclei created via the burning of silver iodide (AgI) compound. Ice Crystal Engineering glaciogenic flares are specially formulated to stimulate this ice formation process at temperatures as warm as -4°C. This is extremely significant, as it is much warmer than the natural ice phase process.

Hygroscopic

Designed for stimulating precipitation production in clouds not yet cold enough to produce ice, hygroscopic materials such as those in the ICE-HBIP™ encourage the formation of larger-sized droplets that lead to the development of precipitation through collision and coalescence.
